Raiders of the Lost Heart by Jo Segura

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

If you're drawn to settings, then you'll love this cute rivals to lovers contemporary romcom that takes place in the Mexican jungle.

Our FMC and MMC have been rivals since their doctoral program, and 'almost' had a thing in school, until our FMC saw our MMC kissing another woman. They cross paths again during a search for an ancient indigenous warrior who our FMC believes she may be related to. This book is a balance between earnest heart and absurd comedy. Does our FMC bring her purple dildo into the jungle on her work trip? Yes. Yes she does. Does our MMC blush like a teenager when he get condoms delivered like an amazon order, in front of his team? Yes. Yes he does. But there's also heart, and miscommunication and overcoming past traumas.

Overall a fun read, with a few laugh out loud moments.

This book is best read behind a waterfall, who knows what you might find?
