Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
A haunted house novella, inspired by Japanese folklore.
We follow a group of young people who rent a haunted house in Japan. As the evening continues we see deep cracks in the friendships and feel the claustrophobia as if we were part of the group with them.
This is only 100ish pages long and written with beautiful and disturbing prose.
This book is best read at night, in a darkened room of someone else's house. Preferably surrounded by creepy porcelain dolls.
