Apex by Nova Kane

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

A dark racing biker romance, that never gave my heart a moment to chill.

Our three main characters are university student, Bexley, and motorcycle racing brothers Talon and Sayshen. Sayshen has been pining for Bex since high school, and when he runs into her again years later, those feeling come back hard. When he notices bruises from her abusive boyfriend, he can't let it go.

The chapters that had me holding my breath were the intense racing scenes. I've never watched motorcycle racing live, but Nova put me right front and centre. She does a great job of introducing us to the culture of motorcycle riding and racing.

I love the found family vibe of the racing team, and the actual family love between Seyshen and Talon. I also love that our FMC has a woman best friend, she's going to school and has passions and dreams that don't revolve around the MMCs.

Fav Quotes
🔥So you got railed . . . in the woods . . . over a motorcycle by the incredibly hot [redacted for spoilers]
🔥Talon, who dries it before putting it away in the cupboard. Sayshen is finishing up sweeping the floor. <- Men who do chores are SO hot. Thank you Nova for including this.
🔥Goddamn Princess, You make the sweetest fucking sounds for us, don't you?

I was a little surprised that this wasn't as spicy as I anticipated. The character development for the brothers is so solid that I wished we'd seen that play out more in the bedroom scenes.

I am so invested in this story and I need book two in this series ASAP.

Thank you to Nova Kane for the ARC.

This book is best read in the stands, waiting for the next race to begin. You're going to want to cross your legs to relieve some pressure, watching is that hot.
