This is the second book in the Broken Boys of Cirque series, but it does not need to be read in order. The connection between the first book and this one is mainly the small international circus community. A few characters from Wristlocked show up, which is lovely, but if you haven't read AK Blythe yet, start here!

I love the overall premise of the story. An up-and-coming circus performer is injured and needs to reprove himself before he can start at an elite circus school. He moves in with an elite coach for four months to help him train for an audition. And of course, they have a connection immediately.

So many scenes with our hot men wearing grey sweats. The tenderness in this book between our two MCs is everything my jaded soul needed, Echo often wears Byrd's clothes, Byrd often cooks for Echo, there are cute nicknames for each other!
