Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Come for the romance, stay for the dirty talk.

This is my seventh Tess Bailey book and I freakin' loved it. I didn't think I would, because our MMC is an ex-navy seal, and usually an author relies on that to be their entire personality - not here! Our MMC, August, is funny, and silly and feels things deeply.

We met our FMC in the last 'A Vine Mess' book when we followed her brother's love story and I wasn't sure how Tessa would make her character likeable or interesting. In the first book Natalie is depressed and drinks too much, not exactly the best start for our FMC, but once again Tessa Bailey has made me want to be Natalie's best friend.

Okay, onto the important part, the smut. OMG. It's great. But August's dirty talk is off the charts. He needs to host a class or something.

I’m not going in like some eager young puppy. Bad as I want to unzip my jeans and give you hell, princess, if your life doesn’t flash in front of your eyes when I finally get my cock inside you, I don’t deserve to call myself your husband.”

“Just to clarify though . . .Very rough sex. With me. Now.”
"Yes”

This book is best read at a winery, with a cute pet in your lap (the book recommends a cat, but I'm a dog person), and a glass of white in your hands.
