First, can I just say how much I love that our MMC's name is Ryat. He's part of a secret society whose goal is to secure the highest levels of power and money through any means necessary. Ryat has to prove his allegiance by obeying orders without question, including making fellow college student, Blakely, his 'chosen one'.

All the best tropes here: touch her and die, forced proximity, stalker. But this book is like a walking trigger warning, don't read if you're sensitive because there is dub con, BDSM, somnophilia, kidnapping and so much more.

This book is best read in an abandoned cathedral at night, while men in masks sit motionless in the pews behind you.
