The Anti-Hero by Sara Cate

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Church boys are always the kinkiest.

This is a really fun, straight-forward M/F romance. If you read spicy romance, you'll anticipate all the beats of the story arc, which is not a criticism. I wanted a fun, spicy romance read and this delivered. Goodreads includes this as a 'dark' romance, but I'd say this is on the lighter side of that.

Tropes

🔥 Fake dating

🔥 Sex Club

🔥 Sex on camera

🔥 Preacher's son

🔥 Opposites attract

🔥 Age gap (20s - 30s)

Our titular 'anti-hero' MMC finds out his preacher dad owns a sex club, when he finds his married father getting busy in said sex club. The FMC is the under-recognized manager of the sex club, and realizes her boyfriend (and club owner) will never take her seriously. To ruin his dads reputation, and get back at her ex-boyfriend, they decide to start an Only Fans-type account, complete with "We have to agree that this is fabricated. None of it is real" and "For the viewers", as the M/F try to convince themselves it's just for the revenge and not for each other.

This is my fourth Sara Cate book. If you've read her Salacious Players Club series, this is a little tamer. If you haven't read her before and are interested in romance on the darker side, this is a good place to start.

This book is best read before starting an Only Fans account with your fake boyfriend.
