Skin by Audrey Rush

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

A taboo horror which starts dark and gets impossibly darker.

So this book is 62 pages, so I can't say too much without giving the whole story away, that said, I have never read anything so dark.

Our main character is the literal worst, and knows it and instead of learning or changing, this story is about him leaning into his terribleness even harder.

This story is not boring, and you will never guess what will happen next.

I could only read this in the morning, because it was too upsetting to read at night.

This book is best read in a walk-in fridge, surrounded by meat skinned and hung on hooks. Don't forget to moisturize.
