Shades of Fear edt. Allison O'Toole, Ashanti Fortson

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Fear has a colour, discover it in this stunning graphic novel of horror written and illustrated by women.

I love short horror stories and then pair it with a graphic novel by women, this book was tailor made for me. This book integrates narrative and color, with stories guaranteed to grab you tight and not let go, even after you've turned the last page.

The stories cover
- Cottagecore horror
- Sci-fi horror
- Nightmare horror
- Monster horror
- Cult horror

Literally something for every horror fan, and in my case ALL for me. I love these all.

My favourite is Turtleneck by Joy San about a woman who wants to avoid the world and buys a large, pink knit turtleneck and slowly starts to withdraw further and further from the world. If horror had a colour for me, it would be pink.

This book is best read in the dark, because this book will make you fearful of colour.
